Lesson Discussion

  1. hi .the video is very interesting, but the video i downloaded is not playing till the end…i see a message”Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file ” and it stops playing where matt says “the brush i am using here is incredibly small…overlapping some of the shadowed area(stops at this place)”

    please help

  2. Thanks.. I tried that but the problem persists..it stops at the same point.I am facing the same issue with the lesson “GLAZING PART 2” and “The Pen and Ink Experience – Mixing Methods-SD.mp4{stops at 4:27 min)”

Plus the following videos are not opening either with VLC or windows media player or quick time player(the 3 s/w i have)
1.The Pen and Ink Experience – Ink Wash
2.Portrait Drawing The Smart Way – The Eye – Frontal View-SD

so what do i do next
    regards

    sumita

    • Hi Sumita,

Thanks for that. I checked into a couple of the videos that you listed (Ink Wash and Mixing Methods) and I was able to play them completely with QuickTime. It’s possible that the files became corrupted when you downloaded them. You may try giving the downloads another shot.

  3. Words almost fail me! This lesson is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Meticulous in detail, so easy to understand. Can’t wait to have a go. Since here in Portugal it is now 01.15 on Wednesday April 19th, perhaps I should catch up on some sleep first!
I shall send in my effort for your comments in due course. Thank you Matt.
    Regards, Mary Bentley

  4. YOU ARE PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST INSTRUCTORS, SO CLEAN, PRECISE AND ARTICULATE
EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND HAVE WELL PLANNED THE PROGRESSION OF THE PROCESS OF UNDERSTANDING NOT ONLY HOW TO DRAW BUT ALL MEDIUM APPROACHES
    YOU ARE FABULOUS

  5. Learning a lot here. Please continue to develop lessons, would love to see a mountain range in acrylics. I still have issues with getting the textures right.
