  1. Hi Matt,
    Just curious: how many times a week are you buying new art supplies? I imagine that you’re running out of your primary colors here or your .05 pen is running out of ink fairly regularly.

    Also, do you have a favorite medium? Has it changed over the years?

  3. Matt, will you add more oil pastel lessons monthly, quarterly or is this all that will be in the course of oil pastels? as I would love to see some animals and themes like Halloween and Christmas .

    • Hi Suzanne,

      Usually when a course is complete (like this one), I don’t add additional lessons. More oil pastel lessons will be posted, but they will be outside of this course. There are already a few Live Lesson series on oil pastels. In fact, we just finished up a series. New lessons on oil pastels will come in the future in the form of new courses, Live Lesson series, or single lessons.

  4. I love art, but I abhor color theory. That is, until you explained it so well. Now I can enjoy making art without having to worry about which colors to choose. Also, are Fabre- Castell Oil Pastels good quality? What brand of pastels would you suggest?

  5. I tried using the blender but it didn’t work well at all. I’m wondering if that is because I wasn’t using the same brand. (I started out with Faber-Castell oil pastels but the only blender my local art store had was Sennelier). Anyone else run into this?
